This is your chance to photograph the Avro Vulcan B2 and Avro 707C, two of the most significant aircraft in British aviation history at the Avro Heritage Centre in Woodford.
The world's only White Anti-Flash Vulcan, XM603, is an iconic symbol of the Cold War and a key part of the history of the UK's nuclear deterrent. Added to that is the opportunity to capture the Avro 707 prototype, which played a crucial role in the development of the iconic Vulcan. You have a truly memorable aviation family heritage in front of you and your camera.
These legendary aircraft represent the cutting-edge technology of their time and the rich history of aviation engineering. Whether you're a photographer or simply passionate about aviation, this exclusive photoshoot event offers a rare opportunity to capture these incredible airframes up close, both with and without re-enactors.
We plan to enact scenarios for the first time with the Vulcan test crew in White flight gear and period RAF Blue & Orange flight gear. The Avro Heritage Museum have some wonderful additional ground equipment at our disposal to add realism to the scenes. Weather dependent and working closely as a 'team' this time travel photography shoot may also include capturing the flight crew on the live illuminated flight deck of XM603 at night.
Avro legendary test pilot Roly Falk, dressed in a pin-striped suit and tie, barrel-rolled Vulcan B1 XA890 at Farnborough in September 1955. One of our re-enactors will play a cameo role as Wing Commander Roland “Roly” John Falk with both the White Vulcan and the sleek Silver Avro 707C WZ744, one of three airframes involved in the Avro Vulcan development programme.
Working closely with the Avro Heritage Museum, we are extremely pleased to present this first COAP 'living history' photoshoot at Woodford.
